[Love]

First off Happy New Year! (or soon to be New Year)

Im acting like a college student again. Youd think that first or second December off from being a college student and Id act like the last week or so of December does not mean that Im on break. I always get like this, once the CSUN kids are out for winter break, I feel like Im with them. I stay out a little later, and not might going home around 11 or 12 when normally Id be set and ready to go to bed. The funny thing about this weird biological winter break that my body and mind has gotten into since I started college is that it doesnt happen during the summer.

I dont know Im an odd girl but you knew that already.

Its been a hectic last couple of weeks because Im trying to wrap everything up before I go on vacation. Next week will be my first full week off since May 2005. Im looking forward to it and I hope that it will be a lot of fun. The holidays like I stated below came by really fast. It didnt even feel like Christmas and I cant believe that the New Year is right around the corner. I think its because these holidays fell on weekends that I feel this way. Oh well no worries. Im ready to say good riddance to 2005 anyway. I love even years for some reason. 06 rolls off the tongue a bit better =)

I did a lot of catching up with friends and family the last couple of days. I spent a lot of Ate/Ading time with Frances it was a lot of fun. When she comes home, her mom cooks up a storm so I swear I would not have to worry about my weight if I just had home cooking and did not eat out so much. Boo for moms who dont cook anymore (but yay for the ones who do!) In addition to my Frances adventures I spent a lot of quality time with TNT (Tammy and Tran), got to see Razor and Jenn and of course kicked it with the regulars. It was really cool.

The end of the year activities at work showed me venturing out of my department and socializing with others in the other departments. Baby steps of course, but theres a really eclectic group of people at my work place. I feel like they have such fascinating stories and interesting personalities. Since I arrived a year ago, Ive always wanted to venture out of my department walls but never really did it until recently. I hope the trend continues They seem like really cool people. Baby steps =)

Although, Ive had this sudden desire to venture out of my department and get to know the other people in other departments the last couple of days have made me feel very fortunate to have the people in my life who are around. Its hard to keep up such a close knit circle but I really feel fortunate to have everyone in my life. The holidays and time spent with them always remind me of how lucky I am. I truly mean it.

Aside from all the mush, its going to be a low key new years for me. Which I dont mind, after the new years will be viva la mexcio with da fam. Im excited I just hope I make it back into the country okay hehe

New Years Resolutions and 2005 wrap up next time!
